Renovation of private apartment - Florence Borgo San Frediano
Architectural design, Work Direction
Client: private
Cost: € 80.000,00

The project involves the transformation of an apartment in an ancient palace (XIV sec.) of the historic center of Florence.
The project was designed to realise two mini-apartments of two rooms: a living with kitchen and a master bedroom with a complete bathroom.

The peculiarities of the building were enhanced:

  • the ornate ceiling of the nineteenth century was rediscovered by the paint that covered it and restored to bring it back to its original splendor;

  • the old terracotta floor, once covered with a carpet, has been cleaned up and restored.

LED lighting was embedded in plaster frames to create lighting that enhances the ceiling; the colours choice and the position of plaster frames dilates the cramped spaces of the rooms.
